Event Organiser

Want to host a High Country Festival event? Let's break down what you need to do.

  • Overall it is a community event that incorporates Mansfield District community groups and businesses running different events over a 5 day period in spring, ending on Melbourne Cup day. The Festival represents an authentic 'picture' of our district.

  • Events include visual and performing arts, food, historical, picnics, horse racing, fireworks, parades, music events and youth events etc. The idea is that there is a range of activities for all people from all walks of life. For locals and visitors.

Community Groups, individuals and businesses can propose any type of event for inclusion in the Festival program.

  • Please fill out the form on this page of your proposed event. Information on this form helps us decide if the event will work in the overall picture. We may call you to discuss it further if necessary.

  • Your event in the program becomes part of a massive festival and connects you to the Mansfield community and tourists visiting the area during a peak time in tourism terms. It provides you with the opportunity to maximise exposure and attendance to your event.

  • No. All individual events are put on at the expense of the event organiser. Once the event is approved to be in the Program, Mansfield Shire Council does not charge for your event to be included.

  • Applications for events close at the end of September.
